Every home has a chapter that begins at the kitchen table. This tray quietly celebrates it, Carter Thompson’s words, softly scripted on parchment, reminding us that family is a living anthology: who we are, what we gather, and all that’s still to come. It feels like a keepsake discovered in a beloved book, now given a place of honor on your entry table, nightstand, or coffee bar.
Handcrafted in our New York studio in the French tradition of découpage, the artwork is laid in reverse beneath crystal-clear, bent glass, then sealed and burnished until it seems to glow from within. Each piece reflects Ben’s singular eye for the charming and unusual, and is individually signed by Ben.
Made for real life, too: the surface is food-safe and wipes clean; the back is softly felted to protect marble and wood. Display it flat, prop it on a gallery easel, or hang it with a plate hanger when not in service. A folded card accompanies every piece, sharing the time-honored découpage process.
For housewarmings, weddings, new babies and for your own coffee table. This is a gentle nudge to keep writing the story together.
