This vintage Hagstrom’s map charts Long Island from Brooklyn’s bridges to the Montauk Light, threading clam shacks, farm stands, ferry towns, and dune paths all the way to the edge of the Atlantic. Under glass, the inky roads and sea-green waters glow like a souvenir from endless summers and off-season beach walks.
Handcrafted in our New York studio in the French tradition of decoupage, the artwork is laid in reverse beneath crystal-clear glass, sealed with fine varnishes, and burnished until every shoreline looks freshly drawn. Each tray is individually signed by Ben. Practical as it is charming, Ben’s signature glass decoupage is food safe and wipe-clean; the back is felted so it lands softly on marble or wood. It’s equally at home hung with a plate hanger, perched on a gallery easel, or pressed into service on a bar cart. A folded card accompanies each piece, sharing the time-honored process.
Perfect for corralling keys at the beach house, serving oysters with lemon, or gifting to the cartography-obsessed New Yorker. One elegant tray, a whole island of memories.
