A woodland butterfly comes to rest, wings marked in charcoal and ember red like a page from a naturalist’s journal. Set beneath clear glass, the image gathers light and quiet attention, the kind of small grace that makes a pour feel considered.
Each coaster is handcrafted in our New York studio in the French decoupage tradition. The artwork is applied in reverse to the underside, paper and glass joined with varnish, then trimmed and burnished so the surface stays smooth and luminous. The round form measures 4 inches across, a subtle raised rim keeps wayward drops in check, the back is felted so it lands softly on marble, wood, or lacquer.
