This is a home where we celebrate a more meaningful world.
It began, as many enduring things do, with a paintbrush, a practiced eye, and a deep respect for images that already carried a history. Drawn to antique books, handwritten letters, and timeworn maps, Ben Busko began creating objects that felt personal and considered—pieces marked by wit, warmth, and intention.
Ben’s Garden has grown steadily, by hand, over decades of design and craft. In a New York City studio filled with paper, glass, ink, and light, traditional techniques like French découpage are practiced much as they have been for centuries: patiently, meticulously, and with reverence for the process. Each design is layered beneath glass, fired into permanence, and finished by skilled artisans who understand that beauty reveals itself in restraint and detail. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is incidental.
This is a world built on sentiment and devotion—to craft, to meaning, to the small objects that quietly shape how we live. We believe the things we keep close should hold memory, affection, and a sense of intention. These are pieces meant to be lived with and passed along, present in both the everyday and the extraordinary.
Through years of design and craft, Ben has assembled his Atelier—a New York City studio filled with paper, glass, ink, and light. Here, we use traditional techniques like French découpage- patiently, meticulously, and with deep reverence for the process.
Today, Ben’s Garden is carried in our own retail stores and by fine home shops and galleries around the world, welcomed into homes that value beauty with a thoughtful point of view. The collections continue to evolve, but the philosophy remains unchanged: honor craftsmanship, celebrate artisans, and believe that excellence lives in the details—and that the spaces we live in and our homes are defined by the personality we choose give them.

A True Story: When Ben first met Martha Stewart she asked "when did you start your business, young man?" As Ben, Ben's mom, his brother and Jessica Seinfeld were ferociously crunching on their granola and acai berry bowls (this was 12 years ago). Ben replied, "when I was 8." Her response was point blank- "what can you do when you are eight?" so he replied, well when you're curious, and don't like playing in sand, you actually have a lot of time." She was stunned and a good friend was made.

What began as Ben's passion for sharing his colorful and thoughtful world transformed into opportunities for his customers. To share a bit about themselves, surround themselves with things they love, share a bit of wit and an appreciation for fashion. It all wonderfully results in turning a house into a home!
