A wreath of winter green and holly berries, tied with a crimson ribbon and a whisper of Paris. Our Joyeux Noël tray feels like the moment the door opens to candlelight and carols, a little ceremony of welcome preserved under glass.
In our New York studio we practice the French ritual of decoupage. Ben painted the artwork, we lay it in reverse beneath the glass, seal with hand-brushed varnish, then gently bend the pane so the light skims every leaf. The surface wipes clean, the back is felted, the piece is food safe, and Ben signs each one before it leaves the bench.
Style it on a bar cart with Champagne and clementines, keep it by the entry for keys and tiny notes to Saint Nick, or stand it upright like a jewel of the mantel. A folded card shares the time-honored process. A bright keepsake for the season, meant to be used, admired, and kept.
