Through the morning mist on the sea, echoes of this antique map call you home to the Vineyard. Painted by Ben Busko and preserved under clear glass, the island’s roads and harbors glow with the warmth of a well-kept memory.
In our New York studio we practice the French ritual of decoupage; the artwork is laid in reverse on the underside, sealed with hand-brushed varnish, and the glass is gently bent so light moves across it like water. The back is felted, the surface wipes clean, the piece is food safe, and Ben signs each one before it leaves the bench.
Let it hold keys and matchbooks in the entry, anchor a bar cart with citrus and sea-salt rims, or stand upright like a small framed horizon. A folded note travels with it, sharing the time-honored process that marries paper and glass, a keepsake meant to be used, admired, and kept.
