My friends have made my life beautiful — a truth worth keeping magnified and close at hand.     A friend of mine traveled to visit me and gave me this as a gift after I had suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and my future was uncertain. There's not too much you can say in those situations, but this quote made me realize that yes, my friends had been an important part of my life for 43 years, and even if I didn't make it, I had very few regrets. I'm about to send one to a friend right now who is facing a tough diagnosis.
