In our New York studio we practice French decoupage with care and patience. The artwork is laid in reverse on the underside, sealed with hand-brushed varnish, and the glass is gently bent so the color lifts when the light moves. Ben signs each piece before it leaves the bench. The back is felted, the surface wipes clean, and the tray is food safe. A folded note explains the time-honored process.
Style it on a vanity to catch rings, on a bar cart for citrus and olives, or stand it upright for a bright cabinet-of-curiosities moment.
