A clover set against vintage typeset on a warm cream ground, held under a dome of French crystal. The crystal is dramatically heavier than ordinary glass, and it does real work here: it magnifies the green, sharpens the old type, and throws the light back across the desk.

Handcrafted in our New York studio in the tradition of découpage, the image cut and applied in reverse beneath the crystal so it reads with depth rather than sitting on a surface. It belongs with the things a desk collects over years: a good pen, a stack of letters, a book left open. Felted back. 3.5 in × 3.5 in × 0.675 in. A card explaining the process accompanies each piece.
